North East ( Seven Sisters) : India’s Seven Sisters in the North East comprises of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura, each of them provide a different and special experience. These Seven Sisters are a treat for nature lovers definitely. The states are also known for their cultural diversity and heritage. They’re popular among tourists for their trekking routes, parks to spot wild animals in their natural habitat, ancient temples, monasteries, museums and snow-covered mountain peaks.

Assam : Assam is rich in heritage and culture. It is also famous for Assam tea and Assam silk. It is naturally beautiful with rich flora and fauna. It shares its borders with Bangladesh and Bhutan. It means it is wettest place on earth – Cherapunji and Mawsynram are known as places which receives maximum rainfall in the world. Shillong is known as ‘Scotland of the East’ – known best for scenic beauty, waterfalls and cool breeze. Mawlynnong is an amazingly clean village in Meghalaya where every street corner has a bamboo dustbin to ensure nature-friendly disposal of trash. There are amazingly mysterious caves like Mawsmai Cave.

Tripura : It is a hilly state bordered by Bangladesh on three sides. The tourist attractions include heritage and historical sites, temples, wild life places etc. The best places to visit are Neermahal, Ujjayanta Palace, Kamala Sagar Lake, Sepahijala wild life sanctuary etc.
