Yet another think that comes to your mind instantly is Gujarati food and its diversity – right from Thepla to Dhokla varieties , farsan, jalebi , fafda, undia, ponk, nankhatai, pickles and various sweets from Ghari , Sutarfeni, and the list goes on.
For tourism people like to visit places like Gir – for the Gir National Park where you can spot Asiatic Lions, Somnath Temple – one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, Diu for the lovely and serene beaches, Rani ki Vav Patan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is a fine example of the kind of water conservation practiced in India during the ancient times, the famous Dwarka Temple devoted to Lord Krishna , Laxmi Vilas Palace in Baroda, Saputara – the hill station, Bhuj – the Kutch Museum, Aaina Mahal etc, the Sun Temple of Modhera, the jain temples of Palitana, snow white jain temples and other temples of Patan, the Mandvi beach of Ahmedpur.

Rajkot – the place where Gandhiji spent his childhood. Surat’s wonderful heritage can be seen by visiting the European tombs, Mughalsarai and Surat Castle, among others.
Apart from that Kutch, the largest district of India, is eminent for its mud architecture and cultural traditions. One of the top places to visit in Gujarat, Kutch is most famous for hosting the Rann Festival from the months of November to February. Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary in the Little Rann of Kutch is also worth an experience.
