Visiting 15 Tourist Destinations In India By 2022 :

Our Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech on August 15, 2019 – 73rd Independence Day urged people to visit at least 15 tourist destinations within India by 2022 marking 75  years of freedom which will lead to improvement in tourism sector in India.  This would boost tourism indirectly leading to better facilities. As a result of this Air India took the decision to decorate its Boeing B777 aircraft to promote India’s tourist destination.The aircraft was decorated with pictures of Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Konark Temple, Golden Temple and Statue of Unity and the world heritage photos.

This statement by our Prime Minister inspired and encouraged tourism sector to launch great domestic tourism campaigns inviting more and more Indians and  tourists all over the world to enjoy the diverse and scenic beauty of India making India the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

In a ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, the initiative of PM Modi, to address the nation with various topics and issues with its free call back program making it a two-way conversation where people can share their suggestions and opinions with the country’s top leader.  PM Narendra Modi urged people to explore new places in India , take photographs of the new destinations and upload them  so that people could traverse and have knowledge of new things about India – the unexplored. This would definitely encourage the youth and give them the much needed inspiration and a reason to travel.

Time again and again Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved that he is an ardent lover of nature and in many episodes of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ he has emphasized the importance of conserving nature and environment. He has constantly urged countrymen through various media i.e TV, radio and  newspapers to take effective steps to protect the rich flora and fauna of the country. He also spoke on variety of topics from nature conservation to tiger population – Save Tigers.

In ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program he said that the time has come when India should look beyond the conservation of nature and lay stress on compassion so as to create an environment which is conducive to the flourishing of both nature and wildlife which means creating an environment where one could create an environment in which tigers and other wildlife could live peacefully, unharmed. He said, “Whenever we talk about nature and wildlife, we only talk about conservation. But now we have to move beyond conservation and think about compassion. Our scriptures have provided guidance on the issue.”

Exploring The Diversity Of India :

With the objective of increasing tourism, raising awareness about environmental concerns and exploring the diversity of India, Narendra Modi asked Indians to travel to places like Corbett National Park and Northeast that are famous for their nature and wildlife.

Addressing the nation in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, he said, “There is glorious abundance of nature in the Northeast and Jim Corbett National Park. Your eyes will be fastened with the nature of the Northeast and your mind will be further broadened, become sombre and calm. Our country is full of diversity and this wide range of diversity will also inculcate variations within you as a teacher. Your life will be enriched. Your thinking will expand. And trust me, there are places within India from where you will come back with renewed energy, enthusiasm, zeal and inspiration, and maybe you will feel like returning to certain places again and again; your family too would feel the same.”

PM Modi’s Meditation In Kedarnath Cave :

PM MODI’S MEDITATION IN KEDARNATH CAVE

A day before the seventh and last phase Lok Sabha elections, the PM visited the Kedarnath shrine on the Garhwal hills and offered prayers. He then chose to meditate in a cave and spend the night there.Located at an isolated spot, the cave was not visited by many. The Uttarakhand government did some renovation work on the cave only last year, giving the chamber an improved and attractive look.The small cave – an 18-feet-long and 7-feet-wide chamber – can comfortably accommodate three persons.This meditation cave has become a ‘Tourist Spot’ now.

Man Vs Wild With Bear Grylls

PM MODI ON MAN VS WILD WITH BEAR GRYLLS

‘Man Vs Wild’ host Bear Grylls set his foot in India for an adventure into the wild with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  which went live on August 12 2019, ended up breaking worldwide viewership records. The episode clocked a whopping 18.4 million unique viewership in a two-weeks run time which made it the world’s most-trending televised event. Grylls announced the big success on Twitter.

The episode was shot in the jungles of Jim Corbett, Uttarakhand, and showcased Grylls and PM Modi playing the game of surviving in a natural ecosystem. From crossing a river in a makeshift raft to learning the art of making a spear and sharing stories of the past, the episode gained a lot of traction all over the world. Mr Modi said it was filmed to throw “light on environmental conservation and climate change”. It also focussed on living in harmony with nature.

PM Modi and Bear Grylls’ s 8 km track trough Corbett National Park’s wilderness – the trail will be developed by Uttarakhand Tourist Department as Modi Trail to attract more wildlife enthusiasts.

After PM Narendra Modi appeared on the show there was found an increase in awareness on nature, wildlife, conservation and rich natural beauty of India.

Statue Of Unity Bringing Gujarat On World’s Tourism Map :

STATUE OF UNITY BRINGING GUJARAT ON WORLD TOURISM MAP

On his 69th Birthday , Sept 19,2019 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the people in Kevadia, Gujarat mentioned that Statue of Unity has brought Kevadia and the State of Gujarat on the tourism map of the world. The prime minister highlighted that more than 23 lakh people have come to see the tallest statue of the world dedicated to ‘Iron Man Of India ‘ Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel since it was unveiled.

Narendra Modi in his first speech after the scrapping of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status called the change the beginning of a new era and linked Articles 370 and 35A to militancy in the Valley. 

The Prime Minister’s  addressed to  partly about selling a dream to the people of India’s northernmost state – now carved out as two Union territories – which is under a state-enforced lockdown. It was also an appeal to the rest of the country to make the most of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh’s natural beauty and resources. Modiji spoke about bringing Kashmir back on the movie screen- both nationally and globally.
